In a tunnel in the walls is the Treasures in the Walls Ethnographic Museum, depicting daily life from the Ottoman times to the 20th century. You’ll be escorted to the Israel Museum to start the day. The Israel Museum holds artifacts relevant to Judaism, Christianity and Islam alike, and the two most important exhibits are the model of the city from the time of the Second Temple, and the Shrine of the Book, housing the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest biblical manuscripts in the world that were uncov- ered in nearby Qumran. Today you will embark on a journey and visit Ein Gedi, one of the most beautiful places in Israel. This oasis in the desert is home to an ancient synagogue. The famous caves of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. The National park at Ein Gedi has an easy walking path that offers spectacular views of the Dead Sea and is punctuated by waterfalls that flow into pools waiting for you to just jump in. This place will be perfect for a couple of hours of relaxa- tion, snacks and water will be provided. After a delicious lunch, we will visit the Dead Sea, where you will be able to do all of the things you ever wanted too when floating on water. It's just some- thing out of this world, a MUST for all visitors. We will be back to the hotel in the late afternoon with plenty of time for you to relax and get ready for our goodbye dinner in town.
