We are proud to present the Mexico City Día de Muertos Cultural & Culinary Journey, a thoughtfully curated experience designed around one of Mexico’s most meaningful, beautiful, and deeply symbolic traditions.

This journey invites travelers to experience Mexico City during one of its most powerful cultural seasons, where food, art, memory, family, and celebration come together throughout the city. From vibrant neighborhoods and traditional markets to seasonal altars, culinary experiences, historic landmarks, and Día de Muertos celebrations, each day is designed to o er a deeper connection to the spirit of Mexico.

With Roma Norteas the home base, guests will enjoy a carefully planned experience that blends comfort, local immersion, culinary discovery, private guiding, and seamless transportation throughout the program.

This is more than a trip to Mexico City. It is an invitation to experience Día de Muertos through food, tradition, storytelling, art, and community.

Day 1 | Thursday, October 29

Roma Norte

Guests arrive in Mexico City and are welcomed with private airport pickup and transfer to their HOTEL in Roma Norte. This first day is intentionally relaxed, allowing everyone to settle in, enjoy the neighborhood, and prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 2 | Friday, October 30

Private Culinary Experience with Chef Graciela Montaña | Coyoacán

The journey begins with a private culinary experience in Coyoacán with Chef Graciela Montaña. This immersive experience introduces guests to the flavors, ingredients, and traditions of Mexico through a curated culinary setting.

Guests will enjoy a hands-on cultural and culinary experience highlighting traditional techniques, regional ingredients, and the important role food plays in Mexican family gatherings, memory, and celebration.

This day may also include an introduction to Día de Muertos symbolism, including cempasúchil flowers, papel picado, candles, pan de muerto, cacao, and the meaning of the altar.

Day 3 | Saturday, October 31

Historic Center, Zócalo & Seasonal Ofrendas

Guests explore the Historic Center of Mexico City, one of the most important cultural and historical areas in Latin America. The day includes a private guided experience through the city’s colonial architecture, public plazas, and seasonal Día de Muertos installations.

When available, the experience will include time to view the monumental altar installations in the Zócalo, one of Mexico City’s most iconic Día de Muertos displays.

The day will also include a curated lunch during the experience.

This day is reserved for Mexico City’s Día de Muertos parade experience, subject to the o cial 2026 city calendar. The parade is one of the most anticipated seasonal celebrations in the city, featuring catrinas, music, dancers, floats, costumes, and large-scale cultural expression.

The experience will be designed around comfort, timing, access, and the best possible positioning available based on the final parade route and city logistics.

In the evening, guests will enjoy dinner at a traditional restaurant in Mexico City.

This day connects guests to the living traditions of Día de Muertos through color, food, storytelling, and community. Lunch is included during the day’s experience.
